My New EP - The Live Sessions

Hey bebes. Quick question....how many of you find January to be a bit of the "winter blues" kind of month or the "slow month"? Ironic that I say a "slow month" cause on the music side, it's far from being slow. lol ;) But maybe sluggish is the right word...January in London can be tough some days when the sun decides not to come out, and even though I am of the Asian mentality where "the fairer you are, the better", I need to get me some SUN! Right, thank you for letting me get that off my chest. I hope this finds you all peachy swell. 2008. A new year for all of us, a new chapter and new beginnings, so with that in mind, I have my new EP, "The Live Sessions" coming out soon! :) Just approved the artwork which you can see when you click on the new live versions of 'Magic Carpet Ride" and "All I Need" on the music player. We're waiting for the EP to be mastered any day now, then it's off to be pressed and will also be available for digital downloading. So this time round, I got my kick ass band ;) to come to the studio and record some of my songs from my live set. Mucho props to Stephen Bentley Klein for producing these live sessions - beautiful string arrangements - and players from the Inklein Quartet, my wickedly brilliant tabla player, Sirish Kumar, Genevieve Wilkins for her cheeky and cool percussive offerings, Niki Mukhi for strumming his classical guitar on "Magic Carpet Ride" and "All I Need", Ivo Neame on keys, Jonathan Mayer on Sitar, Alex Housego on flute, and last but certainly not least, Kiris Houston (guitars) who played so beautifully on "Pink Glasses" and "Shillong". I should also give a big mention to Antonio Feola who owns Fish Factory studios where we recorded most of this, with his gnerous assistance and wicked Italian coffee making skills. You can find these guys all on my top friends list. Check them out, they're a cool, talented bunch and on top of that, so lovely! On "The Live Sessions" ep, we have: "Magic Carpet Ride", "All I Need", "Pink Glasses", "Shillong", "Carry Me Home" (back by your requests) and a secret bonus track. Think of the ep as my gig happening right in your living room when you play it on your cd/ mp3 players! :) Will keep you posted when it's available for downloading and if you do want to purchase a physical copy of it, holla at me on here, and I'll send it out to you if you want it signed, otherwise 500 limited edition copies will be available in the stores. In other news (gosh I sound like a news reporter): Garry and Andrew of the Bombay Dub Orchestra and I have been busy in the studio, putting the album together, from what we recorded in India last month. It's sounding awesome guys. I've had this vision for this album for so long now, that to see it come to fruition, is so exciting but also liberating.
